That time a gust of wind caught my load in downtown Seattle

I was setting a steel beam on a high rise maybe 15 years ago, and a sudden wind came off the sound. The load started spinning and I had maybe 30 feet of clearance from the building next door. I just froze the swing and held it steady, letting the tagline guy talk me down. We waited nearly an hour for the wind to die before we set it. Anyone else have a close call with wind that made you sweat?

Had a similar thing happen with a sheet stack. Just killed all the swing and waited it out, no other choice really.

Totally get that feeling of just having to shut it down and wait. I've found that adding a little extra weight to the top sheet can sometimes help it settle faster once you do stop the swing. Just a small sandbag or even a heavy book placed right in the center does the trick. It keeps the whole stack from catching air again if there's a draft.
