Second load with a new rig, thought the sway was normal until a foreman said something

Took a Grove RT550 up to a site near Fort Worth last Tuesday for a steel beam placement. Everything felt stable to me, but the foreman pulled me aside and said the load was swinging more than it should at 60 feet. Turned out the boom angle indicator was reading 4 degrees off because the calibration pin had worked loose. I usually trust my gut over the electronics, but now I double check that pin before every lift. Has anyone else had a subtle rig issue that only got caught by someone watching from the ground?
