Just realized my rigging mistake turned into a safety win

Tbh, I had a close call last month when hoisting a concrete panel. The slings weren't seated properly because I rushed the pre-lift check. The load shifted mid-air, and I honestly thought it would swing into the structure. Ngl, I managed to stabilize it and lower it safely, but it shook me up. After that, I started doing a full walk-around and tug test on all rigging before every pick. Now I've gone three months without any issues, which feels like a real milestone. It's crazy how one scary moment can make you so much more careful.

That fear probably rewired your brain more than any safety manual could. It sticks with you and makes the right steps feel automatic now. You'll never look at a sling the same way again.
