Woke up at 4am to swim and my goggles leaked for 45 minutes straight

I spent 3 whole weeks blaming my swim technique for that constant leak before I realized the seal was cracked. A $12 pair from Target and suddenly my face isn't a fish tank. How long did it take you to figure out your gear was the problem?

Oh man, I gotta disagree a bit here. Not everyone needs to drop money on new gear right away. Sometimes that leak is just a bad seal or even your face shape not matching the goggle design. Ive had cheap goggles work perfectly fine and expensive ones fail on me. Maybe check if the strap is too loose or if theres a hair in the seal before blaming the equipment. Gear can be a problem but its not always the first thing to look at.
