That $200 wetsuit from Amazon nearly ruined my first open water swim
I was so pumped to save cash on a wetsuit for my first sprint tri. Bought a cheap one online for like $200 and it felt fine in the pool. First time in the lake last weekend, the arms were so tight I couldn't breathe right. Panicked and had to float on my back for a solid 5 minutes before I calmed down. Swam maybe 400 meters total and called it a day. Now I'm looking at a used wetsuit from a local shop for $350. Has anyone else had a cheap wetsuit mess up their swim?
