Hit my first 10k run last week and it felt like a lie

I started Couch to 5k in January barely able to jog a full minute. Last Thursday I somehow ran 6.2 miles without stopping. My watch said 61 minutes and I checked it like 5 times because I couldn't believe it. It mattered because 6 months ago I couldn't run to the end of my street without wheezing. Has anyone else gotten to a milestone that just didn't feel real?

oh man, that feeling of disbelief is so real. I remember hitting my first half marathon distance last fall and I literally stopped my watch, restarted it, and ran another mile just to be sure the first 5 miles weren't a fluke. my brain kept telling me there's no way my legs could do that, but my lungs felt fine and my feet just kept going. it's like your body knows something your mind hasn't caught up with yet. congrats on that 10k, that's a huge deal especially coming from where you started.
