Why does nobody talk about how lip filler ages after 5 years?

I got my lips done in 2019 at a place in Portland, paid $550, and loved them for maybe 18 months. Then I started noticing this weird migration above my lip line, like the filler was drifting up into that tiny mustache area. My injector kept saying it was fine, just needed a touch-up, but I paid for a dissolve last spring instead. The weird part is what happened after: my natural lips look deflated and crepey now, like the skin stretched out from holding the volume. I used to think touch-ups every 6 months were the standard, but I've switched to doing nothing and letting my face settle. Has anyone else dealt with that post-dissolve sag, and did it tighten back up for you or just become your new normal?
