Warning: my $600 laser hair removal left me with more hair than I started with

Tbh I dropped $600 on a six session package in Austin and the tech swore it would thin everything out permanently. Instead my leg hair grew back patchy and coarser in some spots, which looks worse than before. Has anyone else had paradoxical hypertrichosis from these treatments or did I just pick a bad clinic?
