My injector talked me out of lip filler, she was right

I went in for my regular touch up last month at a clinic in Portland, fully expecting to top off my lips like always. The nurse, Dana, took one look and told me I didn't need any more product, that my upper lip was starting to look a bit shelf-y and the migration risk was high. I got annoyed at first, thought she was just trying to upsell me on something else, but she pulled up my before photos from 2 years ago and showed me the difference side by side. She said the goal is to look refreshed, not frozen, and that less really is more once you hit a certain point. I walked out with zero syringes and saved about $380 that day. Honestly, I looked in the mirror the next morning and she was totally spot on, my lips were still full enough and way more natural than they would have been with another .5ml. Has anyone else had a provider refuse to do more work even when you're ready to pay?
