My injector guy told me to stop using cheap filler and I didn't listen for 6 months

I went to a new med spa in Phoenix last year for lip filler and the nurse straight up said 'you're using way too much product for how fast it dissolves, it's the filler you're buying online.' I switched to Restylane instead of whatever budget stuff I was getting and it actually lasted 8 months instead of 3. Has anyone else had a big change from swapping brands after someone called them out?

I was buying some random brand off a beauty supply site and it literally looked like my lips deflated in 2 months. Switched to Juvederm Ultra XC and it's been night and day, that stuff actually holds its shape. I think the cheap fillers are just watered down or something, never going back.

My injector was like, "you're basically paying for saline with a little bit of gel in it," which made me feel so dumb. Switched to Restylane Kysse and it's been way better, actually stays put and doesn't vanish overnight. It's wild how much the quality matters, you really do get what you pay for with this stuff. Never skimping on filler again after that lesson.
