My $25 lip flip gave me a lisp for 3 days
I tried a lip flip with just 4 units of Botox at a medspa in Portland and couldn't say the letter P properly when I ordered coffee the next morning, so has anyone else had their speech get weird temporarily with these tiny muscle relaxer shots?

My friend Sarah got 6 units for a lip flip in Seattle and couldn't say the word "pool" for two whole days. She was at a party and trying to tell someone about her new floating pool floats and it came out all mushy.

Wait, 6 units is a ton for a lip flip right? I thought those were supposed to be more subtle, like maybe 2-4 units max. @john_murphy did she go to a med spa or a proper derm? I've heard horror stories about overdoing it and ending up with that "bum lip" look where you can't pucker or drink from a straw.
Honestly, the pool float story is hilarious but also super validating for anyone who's tried to function after a bad lip treatment. It's wild how a tiny amount of Botox can mess with such basic things like pronouncing vowels. I bet she was mortified but at least she got a funny story out of it. Does she recommend the place or is she avoiding them now?
