Looking back at my choice between Botox and filler for my forehead lines
About five years ago, my dermatologist in Tampa gave me the option: start with Botox to relax the muscles or go straight to a hyaluronic acid filler to plump the lines. I picked Botox because it was less money upfront, around $350 for the area. The results were good, but it wore off faster than I hoped, needing a touch-up every four months. Anyone else find they had to switch plans after their first cosmetic procedure?

Totally get that! It's frustrating when the plan you start with doesn't work out long-term. I've heard a few friends say the same thing about touch-up timing.

Yeah, that "plan you start with" thing happens with so much stuff...

Yeah, that "plan you start with" thing is spot on. I've had jobs where I mapped out every step down to the minute, and it all falls apart by lunch because something unexpected comes up. You gotta be ready to scrap the whole thing and figure it out as you go. It's like making a to-do list and realizing halfway through that the first three things don't even matter anymore.
