Got a brow mapping lesson from a bridal MUA in Austin, total game changer
I was getting my makeup done for my sister's wedding last month in Austin, and the artist, this tiny woman named Rosa, looked at my brows for like two seconds and said "honey, you're starting them a half inch too far apart." She pulled out this little white pencil thing and walked me through mapping the arch to my nose and pupil, which sounds basic but I'd been freehanding it for 8 years. She charged me an extra $25 for a private 20 minute tutorial after my appointment, which felt steep until I tried it at home the next day. My brows actually frame my face now instead of just floating there, you know? I've watched a dozen YouTube videos about this but having someone physically point at the spots on my own face made it click. Has anyone else had a pro teach them something during a procedure that you never got from tutorials? Do you still pay for the mini lesson or just take notes when they do it free?
