Compared traditional lip filler vs fat grafting on my own face and the difference was huge

I had lip filler for about 2 years (like 1ml per session) and it always looked a bit puffy and migrated after a few months. Then my derm at SkinSpirit in Austin suggested trying fat grafting instead since I had enough donor fat from my thighs. The results after 6 months look way more natural and it actually stayed put without that weird duck lip look. Has anyone else tried fat grafting for lips and noticed a big difference over filler?

Hold up, is it really that deep for just lips?

Jumping in here to say @black.jordan, it's not about depth for me, it's about the look lasting. Filler made my lips look like I was about to sneeze for a week, then it faded weird. With fat grafting, the results are way softer and don't give that fake look even months later. The fat actually settles into your natural lip shape instead of puffing out like filler does. Plus you don't have to go back every 6 months for touch ups. It's a bigger upfront thing but totally worth it if you hate the maintenance.
