Just realized I billed out more in one week than I did all of last March
Last week was the first time in about two years of running my own crew that things actually clicked at the same time. I had three jobs lined up back to back, a bathroom rough-in in Bedford, a deck rebuild over in Hurst, and a small kitchen tile job, and every single one of them stayed on schedule and on budget, which almost never happens. What made it stand out was my helper actually showed up on time all five days and my material delivery guy had the lumber dropped before I even got there Monday morning. I finished the deck two days early, the homeowner handed me a $200 tip for finishing ahead of the holiday, and I picked up two referral calls off that same job by Thursday. I sat down Friday night with my invoice book and my wife asked why I was grinning at the kitchen table, and honestly it was just seeing the weekly total land higher than any single month I did starting out. Nothing fancy happened, no big contract or anything, just five days where the truck started every time and nobody called in. Curious if you all have noticed certain weeks where the whole schedule just lines up and you ride that wave, or is it random for everyone else too?
