Dropped $180 on a moisture meter that reads every wall as wet
Bought a cheap pin meter from a big box store to check a basement in Cedar Rapids before I quoted a drywall job, and it lit up red on every single wall, even the ones that were bone dry. I looked like an idiot in front of the homeowner, and I ate the cost of a second visit just to prove the walls were fine. What meter do you guys actually trust for moisture readings, because this one is going in the trash.
