A guy claimed he could hang 40 sheets of drywall alone with a lift, and I almost bet him $100
He showed up with a $300 panel lift from Harbor Freight and had the whole ceiling done in an afternoon while I stood there holding a screw gun. I still think the lift is overkill for small rooms, but for a 12 foot ceiling it beat the two guys I usually pay. Anybody here actually use one for walls, or is it just a ceiling thing?
Heard a drywall guy on a podcast say lifts are mostly a ceiling thing and walls are still faster with two people, though he did say tall walls over 10 feet change that. Watched a video where a guy did a whole tall wall solo with one and it looked slow but doable. Kinda makes me want to try it on the next tall wall just to see.
