Reverse image searched a contractor's project photos and 4 of them were from a house in a different state
I got 3 bids for a bathroom remodel in Charlotte and one guy's gallery looked too nice, so I ran the photos through Google Lens. Two of the "his work" pics came from a real estate listing 900 miles away, so now I reverse search every contractor before I even call. Anyone else catch fake portfolio pics, or am I the only one doing this?
Four out of them being from a house in a whole other state is wild. Like this dude did not even bother to pick pics from anywhere close by, he just grabbed whatever looked good and hoped nobody would check. I started doing the same thing after a buddy of mine got burned by a roofer whose entire website was stock photos, and once you know how easy it is to reverse search, you can never unsee it. The part that gets me is these guys must know people check now, and they still do it anyway because most folks never bother. It takes two minutes to save yourself thousands, so why would you not run every single photo. You are definitely not the only one, this should just be normal for everybody at this point.
