PSA: A contractor with 4.9 stars on Angi had 31 reviews from the same 3 last names
I was about to book a fence guy in Modesto and something felt off, so I actually read the reviews. Out of 47 total, 31 came from accounts sharing 3 last names, and most posted within a 9 day stretch last March. That is not a coincidence, that is a family with phones. Now I sort reviews by lowest first and look for repeat posters before I call anybody. Has anyone found a better way to spot this besides counting last names?
