One bad review about my messy work truck made me finally clean it out
A guy on Nextdoor said he wouldn't hire me because my truck looked like a dumpster fire, and after stewing on it for a week I realized first impressions matter way more than I thought - has anyone else gotten feedback that stung but actually helped?

Oh man, did this hit home for me? I had a buddy who fixes lawnmowers and he used to show up with a van that had tools and junk just spilling out the side door halfway open. Some lady filmed his messy setup and posted it on Facebook saying she wouldn't trust him with her mower, and he was so mad at first. But after a week of fuming he finally cleaned the whole thing out, organized his tools, even got a magnetic sign for the door. His calls actually picked up after that because people stopped assuming he'd leave a mess in their driveway. Sometimes the harsh comments are the ones that actually save your business, you know?

My granddad always said a tidy truck meant a tidy mind.
