A guy at the hardware store in Tulsa told me to check the license before trusting any review, and now I do it every time
I was in a Tulsa hardware store picking up some deck screws when a guy about 60 overheard me complaining about a roofer who showed up 2 hours late. He said "son, reviews only tell you if they were nice, not if they were legal," then pulled up the state licensing board on his phone right there at the counter. It took 30 seconds and showed the guy had two unresolved complaints and a lapsed bond. I've started doing that check before I hire anyone now, even when the reviews look great. Does anyone else cross-check the license board, or am I the last guy to figure this out?
