Unpopular opinion: I ran a whole punch list off a paper copy for 3 years and it was fine
I finally started using the plan grid app on my phone last week after a young super at a hotel job in Tulsa laughed at my clipboard, and I'll admit the photo markup is nice. But here's the thing, I got so used to scribbling on a paper set that I would walk the site twice, once to mark it and once to check it, and honestly the second walk caught stuff the app never would have. I found a missing wall outlet behind a 2x4 that way at a job off Route 9 that two guys had already signed off on. So now I'm stuck wondering, do I keep the app for the record and the paper for the walk, or am I just being an old guy about it? Has anyone actually gone back to paper after trying the tablets?

Why ditch what works? Paper catches stuff screens don't.
