The $2,800 change order that came with a handshake
Last month I had a homeowner in Fort Worth approve a $2,800 change order for extra electrical work. He shook my hand and said "I trust you, just get it done." I got it done, but then he called me two weeks later complaining about the price. I sent him the signed quote and photos of the panel, and he admitted he just forgot what he approved. Has anyone else had clients forget their own signatures when the invoice shows up?

Did you ever think about using a deposit for changes before? That changed my mind real quick.
