Switched from manual takeoffs to a digital takeoff tool last month and wow did I eat my words
I always thought digital takeoff software was just a waste of money for a small crew like mine. Then last month I tried out a free trial of a basic takeoff tool on a 3,000 sq ft commercial job in Dallas. It cut my estimating time from 6 hours to under 2 and caught a 4% material overlap I woulda missed by hand. My old foreman actually laughed at me for resisting it so long. Now I'm thinking about getting a paid subscription next quarter. Has anyone else had a similar change of heart on a tool they swore they'd never use?

Blew my mind when the digital tool caught a measurement error we'd been making by hand for years.

Software can't replace the kind of judgment you build with years of hands-on work.
