Showerthought: I fought daily paper logs for 8 years, then a 15 minute chat at a job site in Tulsa flipped me to digital
Honestly I used to think paper daily logs were faster because I could scribble notes in the truck without any fuss. Last year on a 40 unit build in Tulsa a super named Dana showed me how she snaps photos of the log at 4pm and emails it off, so nothing gets lost when the office asks about a concrete pour from 3 weeks back. I switched and now I do the same thing, takes about 6 minutes a day. Has anyone else had a hard time getting older supers to try this?

That 4pm photo and email trick is the piece I'd push even further. Don't just send it to the office, text it to the concrete guy and the framer the same minute, so there's a date stamp on that pour before anyone's memory gets fuzzy. I started doing that on a 60 unit job and it killed about 90 percent of the "nobody told me" fights. The office can pull up a picture from six weeks back and see the rebar, the slump test, the whole deal. Paper in the truck still works for quick notes, but the camera is what saves you when somebody questions a pour.
