Went to the Grand Canyon and noticed something odd about the helicopter tours

I stood at the South Rim last Thursday and counted 14 helicopters in 20 minutes, all flying way lower than the park signs say they should. The ranger I asked just shrugged and said the rules are "guidelines" for the tour companies. Anyone else see this elsewhere and wonder why nobody enforces it?

Seen the same thing at Yosemite last year? I counted 22 in one hour. Felt like I was at a car dealership with how many were buzzing around. Hell, I probably make less noise with my pressure washer than those things do. Rangers just waved me off too.

Buddy of mine went to Zion last spring and said the same thing. He was trying to take a quiet hike and counted 14 drones buzzing past in under an hour. Said it totally ruined the peaceful vibe he was after.
