Unpopular opinion: that new traffic circle near the mall is a total conspiracy to mess with our commute
I drove through it during rush hour yesterday and got stuck for 12 minutes because nobody knows the yield rules, has anyone else noticed how these things always pop up right before an election?

The 12 minutes thing is annoying for sure, but the whole "designed to frustrate people" angle feels like a stretch. Traffic circles are just one of those things nobody likes until they learn how to use them, like roundabouts in the UK or whatever. City councils mess up projects all the time without it being some deep plot.

I mean maybe it's just me but I noticed that circle sits right where the old phone company building used to be and that property was bought by a council member's cousin like a year ago. The timing with the election thing is obvious but the land ownership angle nobody talks about. My neighbor works for the city and said the bids for that project went to some random contractor from the next county over. Idk maybe I'm overthinking it but the whole thing feels like it was designed to frustrate people into taking side streets so they can rezone that whole block without anyone noticing.
