The moon landing faked crowd mixed up two different things for years

I keep hearing people say the Van Allen belts prove we couldn't have gone to the moon in 1969. But the belts were mapped out by Van Allen himself years before Apollo, and NASA planned for it. They sent the astronauts through the thinnest parts at high speed, taking only about 2 hours total exposure. Did anyone else notice how the radiation argument got recycled from an old 1970s book that didn't even check the actual mission data?

People against the moon landing always grab onto that one radiation argument but it kinda falls apart when you look at the actual math. The belts are dangerous if you hang around but they shot through the weak spots real quick. Funny how that book keeps getting passed around without anyone double checking the numbers.

My cousin used to swear up and down that microwaves gave you cancer because of "radiation", but he still ate Hot Pockets every single day for lunch. Guess he figured the radiation was fine as long as you didn't think about it too hard. People pick and choose which science they believe based on whatever story fits best.
