Shoutout to the guy at the hardware store who pointed out the change in my local water pressure

He said the town quietly switched fluoride suppliers last year, and my kettle's scale buildup dropped by half. Anyone else notice a shift in their water quality after a municipal change?

I mean, that's a pretty big claim to make without any real proof. Fluoride is fluoride, it shouldn't matter who supplies it for something like limescale. That's more about the water hardness, the minerals in it. Maybe you just started using your kettle less or got a water softener and forgot?

Always seems like there's some small change happening behind the scenes that nobody tells us about... then we're left trying to figure out why our kettles or sinks are acting different. It's like everything's connected in ways we don't see, @the_dylan, even if the science doesn't totally line up with what we're noticing. Just makes you wonder what else we're missing in our daily routines, you know?

Totally get where the_dylan is coming from, but I swear stuff like this happens all the time. They change one little thing we never hear about and it messes with a dozen other things. My whole street had weird soap scum for months after some pipe work, and the city never said a word. Makes you wonder what else they're switching up without telling us.
