Noticed something weird at the Denver airport last weekend

I was killing time in the C concourse waiting for a delayed flight. Walked past that big blue Mustang sculpture everyone talks about. Then I saw it - the horse's eye is actually looking down at the ground. For years people told me it was alive. Dead horse they said. But I got close and the eye is definitely painted on. Not a real eye. Makes me wonder what else they hide in plain sight. That whole airport feels off with the underground tunnels and weird lighting. Has anyone actually measured if those walkways really move as fast as they say?

Wait, so after all that talk about the horse having a real dead eye, you're telling me it's just painted on? Makes you wonder what else we've been told is "alive" that's actually fake.

The blue Mustang thing has been a whole rabbit hole for me too. @kelly61, you're right that it makes you ask what else is fake. I remember reading that the original horse had a real glass eye from an actual horse, but they replaced it years ago after vandals kept trying to steal it. The weird part is the airport never officially says when that change happened, so half the people still think it's a dead horse eye. That's the kind of sloppy story that keeps those DIA conspiracy sites running.
