I tracked 3,000 conspiracy posts for 8 months and changed my mind about not trusting anything
Last Tuesday I hit 3,000 posts scanned from r/conspiracy and r/conspiracy_commons since January. I was keeping a tally of how many claims came with a source link or named person. Around 2,100 of them had zero sources, just a YouTube link or a screenshot. That was the number that got me. I used to think most of this stuff was just careful people asking questions, but when you see it laid out like that it looks more like a game of telephone. Has anyone else here tried counting anything like this, or am I the only nerd with a spreadsheet?
