I finally dropped $200 on a password manager and it paid off in one night
Got locked out of my email at 11 PM and the recovery options were all going to that same email. The manager had saved a backup code I forgot about. Anyone else rely on these things more than they'd admit?

Oh man, that backup code save is a lifesaver for sure! I swear by mine now after it pulled my bacon out of the fire when I forgot my bank login.

Ever tried keeping a screenshot of the backup codes in a password manager app? I do that for all my important logins now (along with a physical copy in my wallet) and it's saved me more than once. The one time I locked myself out of my work email, I was so glad I had that digital copy handy on my phone.
