Heard a guy at the coffee shop say the moon landing was filmed in a garage in New Jersey

Ngl, I almost choked on my latte because who picks New Jersey of all places for a fake moon landing set? But it got me wondering, how do people even come up with this stuff and stick to it so hard?

I used to think it was real too but the New Jersey garage detail actually makes me wonder.
