Comparing two deep dive methods, one blew the other away

I spent two weekends digging into the JFK files, one using the National Archives search system and the other using that Mary Ferrell database. The difference was night and day, the Archives site had me chasing dead ends for 3 hours, but Mary Ferrell had everything cross referenced in a way that just clicked. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has a go to source for primary docs, or if it's just me being stubborn about the old ways...

Funny you mention that, I hit the same wall with the Archives site last year. Ended up making my own cheat sheet of box numbers and reel IDs from old forum posts, saved me tons of time. If you can find the Wilson collection index, that’s the hidden shortcut most people miss.
