Bought a $70 EMF detector off Amazon, now my neighbor thinks I'm spying on him
So I got one of those cheap EMF readers because I wanted to check if the weird buzzing in my walls was electrical or just pipes. Fired it up last Tuesday and walked around my apartment, got a wild reading on the shared wall with my neighbor's unit. Next day he knocks on my door asking why I was pointing a device at his bedroom. I tried explaining it was for paranormal stuff and home wiring, but he gave me this look... now he waves at me from his window all suspicious. The detector was $70 and honestly it did pick up some hot spots near my breaker box, so it works. But has anyone else had neighbors get weirded out by this hobby? How do you even explain it without sounding like a total nut?
