Wrote off console controllers as garbage for years, then my $180 stick drifted after 5 weeks
I've been a PC guy since I built my first rig in 2016, and I always laughed at the whole console controller thing. Last spring my brother talked me into getting a PS5 for the living room and I figured the DualSense would fall apart in a few weeks like every cheap pad I'd used before. Then Horizon Forbidden West's gyro aiming and haptics actually felt great, and I stopped using mouse and keyboard for anything that wasn't an RTS. Fast forward to now, my $180 custom fight stick for PC started drifting after just 5 weeks, and the stock DualSense that came with the console still works like day one 7 months later. I'm not saying PC is dead to me, but the gap in build quality is way smaller than I told everyone it was. Anyone else actually prefer a controller now for third person games, or am I just getting old and lazy?
