Why I ditched my gaming PC for a 10 year old console last month

Last month I sold my RTX 3080 rig because I was tired of tweaking settings for an hour before actually playing anything, and grabbed a used Xbox One from a buddy in Austin for $120. Sure, the graphics are softer and loading times feel like a nap, but I've finished three games in 3 weeks instead of just benchmarking them. Has anyone else traded raw power for pure simplicity, or am I just going soft?

That "tweaking settings for an hour" part hit me right in the gut. Did the same thing last year.

@simon378 I get that feeling of wasted time completely, but I actually see it a little differently. Those 60 minutes of messing around taught me what each button does, even if I never touch most of them again. I'd rather know my setup inside and out than just trust the defaults and hope for the best. Plus, next time something breaks or updates, I'll remember what worked last time. It's like paying for a lesson, not throwing time away.
