Waiting for a PS5 patch made me realize I miss my old PC setup

My PS5 crashed on a save file last Tuesday and I sat there staring at the update screen while my buddy on PC just rolled back his drivers and kept playing. I built my first rig back in 2017 for about $900 and never had a bricked save like this. Has anyone else switched back to PC after a console scare, or am I just too jumpy about losing 60 hours of progress?

Did you ever back up your save to the cloud before the crash? I lost a 50 hour Elden Ring file on my old Xbox and that’s what pushed me to build a PC too. Now I just copy my whole save folder to a USB stick every week, takes two minutes and I sleep way better.
