Vent: my brother in law swore a $1,200 prebuilt would beat my console, and now he won't bring it up
Back in March my brother in law kept telling me consoles were toys and I should sell my setup for a prebuilt gaming tower from a big box store. He went on about frames for weeks, so I finally bit and grabbed the tower just to shut him up. Two weeks in the thing stuttered on newer titles and the power supply started whining like a dying weed eater, while my old console ran the same games smooth as butter. I swapped back and he has not mentioned it once at any family dinner since. So who here has actually gone from console to a cheap PC and regretted it, or did some tweaks save the build for you?
