Tried swapping my console controller for a mouse and keyboard on a $30 coffee table
I had my rig set up on a desk in my bedroom for years, thought it was fine. Then I went to a LAN party at a friend's place in Portland, and he had his PC hooked up to the big TV in his living room with a wireless keyboard and mouse. After 3 hours of playing on a couch, I came home and immediately moved my whole setup into the den. The difference is huge, I can actually relax my back while gaming now and the 65 inch screen makes console players look like they're missing out on immersion. But now I gotta deal with cable management across the room (ugh) and finding a good lapboard. Anyone else run their PC from a couch and have tips for keeping the desk clutter gone?

Man I used to be one of those guys who thought a desk was the only way to go for PC gaming. But after spending a weekend at my cousin's place where he had his rig hooked up to his 55 inch TV with a wireless setup on a tray table, I totally get it now. I came back home and dragged my whole tower down to the living room. The cable management is a pain for sure, but I found those little stick-on cable clips work wonders for running wires along the baseboards. For a lapboard I just grabbed a cheap wooden cutting board and stuck a mouse pad on it, works better than anything fancy I tried.
