Took me 2 years on console to realize my TV was adding input lag

Was losing gunfights in Apex Legends hard for months, figured everyone else was just better. Took my PS5 to a buddy's place in Austin and suddenly I was landing shots I never could before. Turns out my old Samsung from 2014 had game mode disabled the whole time, 60ms of lag I was fighting every single match. Anybody else ever have a TV or monitor secretly holding them back and it took way too long to figure out?
