Three years of defending my console setup, one PC demo flipped me at a LAN party in Austin

Last month my buddy let me try his rig with a 144Hz monitor and the same racing game I've played on console since 2021, and after 20 minutes I could suddenly hit corners I never could before, so has anyone else had that moment where you realize the hardware really does change how you play, not just how it looks?

Whoa, okay, so I used to be the biggest "console is just fine, PC is a waste of money" person you'd ever meet. Then I tried my cousin's setup with a 120Hz screen, and I swear I could finally see where the car was actually slipping in a drift. I thought it was just about graphics being pretty, but it really does change your timing on braking and turning when the screen doesn't lag. It's a real difference, not just a fancy one.
