That $20 HDMI cable taught me more than any benchmark
Spent months chasing 4ms response times on my PC only to realize my console lag was just a cheap cable from 2013, swapped it for a certified one and the difference was night and day. Has anyone else fixed a 'hardware gap' by checking the simple stuff first?

and honestly the benchmark numbers were lying to me the whole time, like yeah my framerate was fine but the actual input felt mushy and delayed. cables are one of those things everyone overlooks until you do that stupid A/B test and feel stupid for not doing it sooner. the certification matters way more than people give it credit for, especially on longer runs or weird setups with adapters. cheap ones can still work but they drop packets or lose signal integrity at the worst moments. good on you for catching it, most people woulda just bought a whole new console.
