Serious question, did the Steam Deck talk me into being wrong about consoles?
I spent about 3 years telling anyone who would listen that a cheap PC build beats any console, and I felt good about it until my cousin handed me his Steam Deck on a flight to Denver last month. I had my $900 rig at home and here I was playing my own library on a tiny screen at 30,000 feet, no fuss, no mouse. What I got wrong is that I kept comparing hardware specs when most people just want to play on the couch without a launcher freezing up. My cousin said "it runs my games, that's the job" and I didn't have a comeback. So now I'm wondering, how many of you keep a console around even with a good PC sitting in the other room?
