Serious question, has anyone used a wet saw instead of a grinder for control joints?

I tried a wet saw on a 500 square foot patio last week instead of my usual angle grinder... the cuts were way cleaner and I didn't have to deal with all that dust. But the setup took forever and I almost flooded my buddy's driveway. What do you guys prefer for larger slabs?

Used a wet saw once and spent more time unflooding the yard than cutting joints.

Flooding worries aside, a wet saw just adds a whole extra layer of headaches for something that's usually pretty quick with a grinder. Setup time, water mess, and having to drag a hose around never feels worth it for a clean cut you can get with a decent diamond blade and a little patience.
