Found a cheap trick for fixing edge curling on fresh concrete

Honestly, I've been fighting edge curling on my residential driveways for years. Last month on a job in Fresno, I tried wetting the subgrade an hour before the pour instead of just right before. It gave me way more working time and the edges stayed flat. Has anyone else tried this or got a better method for dry climates?

Wetted the subgrade the night before on a job last summer when the temps were hitting 95. Made a huge difference. The ground was still damp the next morning but not muddy, and the edges laid down flat with no cracking. I also started misting the edges with a sprayer right after floating. That little bit of extra moisture right where it curls most seemed to do the trick for me.

Misting edges after floating, that's the secret sauce right there. Did you find a specific sprayer worked best?
