Walked into a client's home office last Tuesday and saw a PC from 2004 still running their billing software
They upgraded to a refurbished Dell from 2019 this week and the owner said their backup time went from 45 minutes to under 3, which got me wondering how many other small businesses are running on ancient hardware just because "it still works"?

Backup time went from 45 minutes to under 3" - that's probably the same OS, so the hardware was just that slow.

My grandpa ran a hardware store on a Windows 98 machine until 2018. It really is wild how "it still works" becomes a trap until you show them what faster actually feels like.
