Drove 45 minutes to a real estate office last Tuesday to find a dented Dell PowerEdge with mismatched RAM that the owner swore was a steal for $300, and I spent an hour showing them why they'd spend triple that fixing it in six months.

Honestly, just print out the total cost of repairs upfront next time.

Big facts. Same thing happened to me last summer, they just kept adding stuff on without saying the final number first. Felt super slimy honestly, like they were hoping I wouldn't ask. That one simple fix would have saved so much awkward back and forth.
