Guy at a bar in Reno told me my thermal paste test was worthless, and he was right
I was bragging about my 6 degrees Celsius drop on a client build last Tuesday, and this old tech said case airflow matters more than paste brand every single time. He pointed out I never tested with the side panel on, so I re-ran it and the gap basically vanished. Anyone else guilty of testing thermals without a closed case?
