Blew $87 on a "premium" USB drive for client backups in Dallas and it died in 5 days
I needed a fast 128GB drive for a client's backup last month and grabbed a $87 one at Micro Center in Dallas because the label said it was built for daily use. Five days later it just vanished from Disk Management mid-copy and none of my recovery tools could even see the controller. Has anyone found a drive under $100 that actually survives daily tech work, or do I just start buying two cheap ones and cloning?
